I cannot recommend the cheese highly enough, they are also very knowledgable about their excellent products. It is what you expect a proper local shop to be like, very friendly and not snobby.

Stopped here for some picnic essentials before a Dartmoor hike. They have a beautiful selection of local cheeses and really young helpful staff that were great at helping me choose the right items. In addition to great cheeses they also have delicious fresh baked breads from a local bakery. Everything was very fresh, good, and reasonably priced.

A very, very good cheese shop, run by some real cheese enthusiasts. Always busy. Staff always very cheerful and full of knowledge about their products. More than happy to recommend an entire cheeseboard for you and for you to try as many of the cheeses as you like until you have the correct selection. Look out for the Cheese Fair held in August, an excellent opportunity to try cheeses and meet the people who make them. Also stock some breads and pickles and chocolates and books about cheese. It’s a small shop but heavily staffed so you never have to wait long.
