This is the best indian food in Taunton in my opinion! Really different but plenty of classics too. Good prices too. The staff are great. Highly recommended.

This is probably the best tasting Indian food I’ve had in Taunton. They lose a star for other aspects. Also, they do have a few different or more unusual dishes and I think their food is less greasy than some of the other Indian places. This is definitely a more ‘high-end’ Indian restaurant. Certainly, their prices are on the higher side(especially for rice and naan). My main complaint is that the rice and naan are extortionately price. My other complaint is that the service/management seems to be quite inflexible with the menu(specifically, with making any concessions for children). I’ve both dined-in and done carry-out. The lunch Thali is a good deal and tastes great! However, their menu is a little misleading; you don’t actually get any choices for your Thali, despite the menu saying you do; you get whatever they are serving that day. Fortunately, everything I’ve had from here is very tasty. If you do take-out and get naan from the store, you can eat for a reasonable amount. I like how they carefully label their takeout — very nicely done! The best dish I’ve had from here was definitely the saag gosht(lamb); but the lamb biryani was good, as was the tarka daal, bombay potatoes, okra, olan, and Pondicherry lamb curry(yes, they were nearly all excellent). The only dish from here that I wasn’t wild about was the«master chef special pork»(it was ok, but I wouldn’t order it again).

Worst Indian I have ever been to. Average greeting, didn’t seem to care too much about our custom. Poppadoms tasted like the cheap ones you get from Tesco. I ordered a chicken Mahkani. Mahkani is meant to be sweet and creamy. What they gave me was thin and bitter. Tasted like tomato soup with spices added in! I tried my friends who ordered a Korma. First off, the Korma was green! It was lumpy and wasn’t creamy at all. Absolutely disgusting. Best bit was the chocolate mint at the end! Prices are extortionate. £3.50 for some rice?! Absolute joke. Will never go back here and would never ever recommend.

Definitely one of the better restaurants in Taunton. The food is not the standard(and all too common) fare(e.g., Chicken Tikka Masala). For example, they have Goan dishes(King Prawn Kafreal), Malabar Lamb Shank(my favorite), and many more. We have eaten here at least many times. Only con — food is a little bit on the pricey side — but worth it.
