Lush

As soon as you walk anywhere near Lush the smell hits you like a tidelwave! It is a little overbearing and far to perfumy for my liking.
The products are mainly bath bombs, shampoos, and soap.
Although they offer an unusual range of smells and products I feel they are overpriced and not overly good for your skin or lungs!
The staff are always helpful and polite.
There are other shops I would prefer to spend my time and money

As you approach Lush, it makes you aware of its presence. Bright yellow shop front, sometimes with a bubble machine, and a bouquet of flowers, soap and fruit assault your olfactory sense with a perfumery experience. My mrs loves it and can’t walk by without popping in. She even tears corners out of the Lush Times, and sends me in when I’m in Taunton without her. I noticed that at least one of their concoctions is named after a product mentioned on the mighty boosh, Goth Juice, so that gives you an idea who they are trying to target their products at. I found the staff to be helpful in the main, I do get a little tired of being asked if I need any help. I’m old fashioned and will ask for help if I need/​want it. I am a fairly middle class looking chap, and approaching middle age I’m not a shopping lifting student, I don’t need constant surveillance at all when I’m in a store.

As soon as you walk into (or near to!) Lush the first thing you’ll notice is the smell. Such an amazing smell of all their products combined.
They do alternative soaps, bath bombs, shower gels, shampoos, and that kind of thing. Instead of the usual flavours you’ll find in the supermarket, you’ll find chocolate shower gel, candy floss flavoured shampoo, and even christmas pudding flavoured soap!
The salespeople in there are very helpful and friendly, although I can’t help but feel that they’re clones that have been manufactured at Lush HQ, because every single one of them seems exactly the same (sugary-​sweet and caffeine-​fueled) in every Lush store across the country!
Not cheap, but well worth a smell :)
