Was actually a very good burger. The ones with onion rings look awesome!(stacked so high!) I’d recommend getting one of those, or you’ll be jealous of other’s burgers w/onion ring(my sister got the one with onion rings and graciously shared one with me – it was tasty). I got the Italian combo; it was a bit bland(burger was good, toppings were bland). I’d definitely get something spicy and with an onion ring next time! My primary complaints about the place are these:(1) drinks;(2) the menu;(3) the lack of explanation/guidance upon entering. (1) They only have two mass-distributed U.S. beers on tap and both are way over-priced. 4GBP(or 6 $US) for a pint of coors light?! Get out of here. That is cheap crappy American beer. The other was blue moon; which I don’t mind, but at 4.50GBP(or whatever it was)… I’ll pass, since I can get it any time back home, and usually for less. (2) The menu is very hard to read. There are 16+ burgers listed, plus sides, etc. You walk up to the counter and have to ‘quickly’ peruse this huge and unwieldy menu that is a poor excuse for graphic art and design. I didn’t see any listing of build-your-own-burger as an option(you’d think it would be at a burger place). I’d recommend that the owners do some more work on the menu’s layout and maybe reduce some of the options or arrange them in some logical and easy to peruse fashion. Also, the current size of the menu and lack of any menu or signage on the walls, suggest that this place should almost be a sit-down wait-service place, but it’s the normal order-at-the-bar British pub style of ordering(at the bar), serving burgers and a paltry selection of bad American beer. (3) There was no guidance when we walked in. The place was almost empty on a Tuesday night, with folks at only two other tables. We walked up to the counter, since that seemed like the thing to do… we were handed a huge menu(see #2 above). That was it. No explanation like… pick one of these 16+ burgers, ask for how you’d like it done, ask for extra toppings, pick a side or two, grab a drink. Was very awkward. I had to ask the worker to explain the menu… and the explanation I got was something along the lines of … «here’s the menu, choose a burger.» This seems to be a new business, but it definitely has room for improvement. The burgers and onion rings were good. The interior is interesting… not a particularly inviting place where I’d want to linger(and given the lack of beers on tap, not much to keep you here). The location is nice; right on the canal and in a pretty old building. Aside from the awkward encounter at the bar, the food came quickly and the service was nice.

Not great at all. It’s like the idea of a burger restaurant has slowly Chinese whispered it’s way down to Taunton from Bristol, but has been seriously lost in translation along the way. I’m still picking the charcoal out of my teeth many days later. Try harder please. Cheers.
