Indigo Lounge

Sounding like the name of a band at the wrong end of Britpop, this is in fact a smart Indian restaurant on Market Street, proving that Brummies need curry, no matter how far away from the hub they now reside.
What drew me to this place over the hundreds of other naan purveyors competing for my dough was their website which announced, somewhat menacingly, ‘Under New Influence’. I needn’t have worried. As my mom lives locally we decided to take advantage of the 10 percent discount for collecting our own order. Though, for future reference, it’s good to know that if we’d had a couple of drinks we would have qualified for the free delivery anyway (4 mile radius). We also qualified for the free Onion Bhajees as our large order surpassed the £17.00 threshold. My husband was the true beneficiary, as he’s the only one in the family who likes them.
The rest of the food was competent, tasty, and all the family were happy with their nosh. We all tried a bit off each others, which led to a squabble free evening in front of the telly.
