Nice little pub. Has a good selection of beers, many local. Was busy when we were there but we managed to find a seat overlooking the bay. A good way to finish if you are completing the pubs along the Mumbles mile.

The Pilot has been bought outright by Richard and Jo, a very friendly couple, and has been refurbished. Jo worked behind the bar in the Park Inn (Camra area pub of the year several times) for some time before the opportunity to buy the Pilot came up. They are a Real Ale pub, (5 brews last time I was in) plus the usual range of lagers etc. and will be brewing their own beer on-​site from spring 2013.Phredd.

Seems to change hands on a regular basis nowdays, and is currently up for sale again. Another casualty of the dying Pub trade down in Mumbles nowdays, and since I’ve written this review, there is once again, a big «To Let «sign on the outside of this building, seems nobody wants to run a Pub in Mumbles anymore. Can’t say I blame them actually !!!.
