Had a very successful shopping trip at knitters and sewers. My wife came away with all the bits and pieces she was after and the lady who served us could not have been more helpful. Fabulous selection in the shop and even more online. I suspect we will be good customers for the online shop.

Hmm… Always feel a bit odd going in here, almost like I’m being looked down on by the staff for some reason. Mum and I went in looking for cord to repair my coat toggles. We asked if they had any and were told ‘oh it’ll be over there somewhere near the ribbon’, helpful no? Eventually we found it but it wasn’t what we were looking for. And we only found it after the lady we originally asked came over to where we were anyway, would it not have been easier to just show us since she was going there anyway? Obviously not. Fortunately I don’t need to go here that often.

I have used knitters and sewers world for over 10 years. It is a shop filled with material, sewing cottons, yarn, needles, patterns, felt, knitting bags plus lots of other things. In the last couple of years the shop has been updated which makes it more modern and a little bit lighter as in the past it has been quite dark. I love the wide range of wool that is available and the knitting patterns. I always find the staff to be very helpful and friendly. The only downside to this shop is they do tend to be more expensive than other craft shops, but the quality is good.

I have visited this shop many times over the years with my mother and found it a dark and boring shop. On visiting there myself as an adult I found it just the same with staff having a condesending attitude to anyone who wasnt an expert and regular customer. I think it is this kind of attitude and bad service that means I wont ever bother returning again. Its just a shame because I am sure with a little effort that shop could be really successful.

I can’t really comment on the staff and service as I haven’t been to this shop for years but I do remember it as being quite a magical place with a wonderful haberdashery and also as being very cheap. If the staff are as awful as you say it’s a real shame because the items on offer provide a wonderful library of pretty and curious things for arts and crafts lovers, it would be a pity if people didn’t go there because of unfriendly staff.

Very unfriendly off-hand staff. I am a friendly, polite, person and I strongly object to being served by such unpleasant people. I have bought many things in this shop over the past year but I am now buying from Shaws of Neath and on-line from other businesses. I will give 1 star for some of the lovely things to be found in this shop; it is a pleasure to browse in but always spoilt when one takes things up to the counter to pay. I am tired of being treated like something the cat dragged in and so I will simply take my business elsewhere.
