I really like going to visit the Glynn Vivian. I love the antique glass and porcelain. Full of things I could look at every day. Also interesting exhibitions. It’s not huge, so you do not need to feel overwhelmed and you can get to know works of art really well. Unusually quiet every time I go, so you can contemplate the works of art here. No café but disabled access.

Located half a mile from the city centre the glyn vivian art gallery is a good place for art lovers to visit. Easily accessible for disabled people in wheelchairs the gallery does look understated from the outside but don’t let that fool you. Inside the gallery hosts a selection of permanent exhibits from Bateaux en Hollande pres de Zaandam/Claude Monet to the Woman with a Coral Necklace /Gwen John. The gallery is celebrating its 50th aniversery this year(2008) and with free admission it is certainly a cost effective way to see the best of what Swansea has to offer. Note the gallery is not open on Monday’s and bank holidays.
