D & A have been my opticians for a number of years and always looked after my contact lenses checks and prescriptions reliably and thoroughly. On my last three check ups all has stayed stable so there has been no over prescribing of changed glasses or contacts.
They run a reliable mail order service which does include unlimited check ups in case of any issues.
On the slightly negative front their glasses tend to be priced quite highly, though some very nice frames, but slightly out of reach for most. Also in less straightforward eye conditions they may not be as helpful, my fiancé had a check up and was prescribed reading glasses when after a second opinion (RN Roberts Cardiff review) he was sorted totally with eye exercises.
