I am 100% in agreement with the last few reviews about this place, it seemed to have gained some sort of «cult«status in the 1980’s(God knows how though) but nowdays its just a cheap and nasty place to visit, which is totally out dated, although they still charge premium prices for crap service and poor food. Basically, a place to avoid if you want something tidy to eat or drink in Mumbles …

Not only do my three lovely cousins work here, but the food is also very good. The cajun chicken is delicious and my dad never complains about the steak. It’s a lovely little restaurant situated on the front down the Mumbles — the perfect setting to work off your meal with a nice walk along the promenade afterwards.

I totally agree with the last Two reviews. This place is just not worth the effort. Overpriced and Bad service. Very poor.

Was disappointed with my last visit. Haven’t been to this place for years but had great memories of it til I went back! Overpriced pub food. Looked nice. Tasted mediocre. Found staff a bit rude. For 2 meals and 2 drinks came to 35 quid. It was not worth the money.

In contrast to other reviews, I found this restaurant to be hugely overpriced as the food was basically freezer to oven fodder. It was not fresh and was very mediocre. Not impressed. The DJ was a pain in the backside as we could barely hold a conversation at our table due to the appalling selection of eighties trash played very loudly. The staff were also fairly unhelpful and, according to a couple of our table, rude in that they exchanged stroppy looks when we requested cutlery(which had not been provided in the first place). I would recommend that people avoid this restaurant given my recent experience. The wine list was not extensive either, despite claims on their website otherwise. Don’t bother.

Cj’s is an intimate, friendly sea side restaurant down the Mumbles. The staff are pleasant, the food is reasonably priced and very good portion sizes. It’s a great place to eat before going on the Mumbles mile :)

I walked past this place when I was down at Wales this weekend and it brought back many happy memories. I used to go to CJs when I was a student at Swansea Uni about 20 years ago. The food was great. My friend who lives in Swansea tells me the food is still good, so I have insisted that we go there to eat next time I go down to Swansea for the weekend.

This place was the bee’s proverbial knees when I was a young teenager. Birthday parties were often spent here for the sticky BBQ ribs, big burgers and milkshakes. I recently patronised the establishment with my father and a chum. We had a great time. My dad is a bit of a dude around the Mumbles and the staff all knew him which resulted in very friendly, jokey-around service but was still very helpful. The food was pretty good, my steak was colossal, so much so I couldn’t finish it. Reasonable prices and good times are to be found in this seaside bar/restaurant.
