The 99p shop that isnt a £1 shop! and that actually started as a £2 shop a couple of years back. Its a great shop, and has alot packed in there, great bargains if you look through the beauty section especially, although my favourite thing to buy in there are the big money jars, bacause you cant get them anywhere else. Its great for an budget because of their wide selection of bits and pieces, the queues are always quite minimal considering its quite busy there on times, and its extremely messy in there, but what can you expect for the high volume of items in there.

I love the 99pence store with a passion, its the best place in Swansea to get cheap bath and shower gels and sweets. Often I have picked up bargains there from knee supports that would have cost upwards of £14.99 to dvd box sets that cost over double the price I paid. It does get rather hectic on the weekends and the queue’s get rather long which is not helped by empty tills. Despite this and the chaotic nature of the shop this place is a real must in this day and age when your cutting the weekly outgoings. The staff can be rude and strict regarding people who wear hooded tops who have been known to have been thrown out of the shop. It does have its flaws but at prices like 99pence for everything its worth shopping there.

What can I say? Everything in here is 99p and there are thousands of items! Particulary good value are things like heated pads which retail for about 5 times as much, vesta meals, multi packs of crisps etc. You don’t have to be on an extreme budget to come here it’s just nice that you can get things the same for much less than you would at a large supermarket. Garden items are very good, lots and lots of seasonal items in around Christmas, you can get great crafty sets here for younger family members! The biggest downside of this shop is it gets so busy you really have to be careful what time you go, opt for early morning if you want to do some serious shopping as the queues can be long.
