I had a lovely meal there a few months ago. The staff were great. Even though it was busy we where shown to our table quickly and received our food and drinks in no time at all.
I would go a lot more regular except it is slightly out of the way for me.

I simply love it here. It’s particularly good at Christmas time when you can gaze out of the window over the frosted lake and the bare trees, but it’s all warm and cosy inside. Their Christmas menu is delicious, a real treat.
The food is French. It’s done well and this is reflected in the prices, the cheapest main course being £12.95.
Get yourself a rich boyfriend and you’re away! (I sound like my nan now)

This place is a real little gem tucked away in Sutton Park. It’s a bugger to find — I recently attended a civil wedding that was being held there and having asked all the other guests, not one local taxi firm managed to find it first time! Sat Navs were also useless, so it’s certainly a private little place.
A former hunting lodge apparently formerly used by Henry VIII, it is an beautiful old building right on the lake. The sunsets over the lake are absolutely stunning and it’s a cosy, warm little place.
The staff are very pleasant and helpful in general except for the odd exception — I’m sure they know who they are!

Full of character, this wonderful little restaurant sits to the side of one of the many lakes in Sutton Park.
Its not very big and some may say its in need of an interior makeover. I would disagree. The Boathouse is charming, the service is personal and the food is superb.
Enjoy the drive down the tree lined avenue that leads to this venue and if you’re very lucky sit overlooking the lake. Take your loved one and revel in an evening of romance.

This fab restaurant is set in the midst of Sutton Park on the edge of a lake in woodland. The ambience is terrific as is the food and setting. It is a great place for a wedding reception or celebration party. Service is excellent.
