Offering fast, friendly customer service, a wide range of no-​frills snacks and parking facilities right outside, this clean, great-​tasting chippy is popular amongst locals and very handy for anybody in need of a quick bite to eat.
Sausages, pies and Southern Fried Chicken are almost always ready-​to-​go, the family that run the place are very pleasant and the food (I’d go for the chicken nuggets, chips and curry sauce in a tray special) is very rarely disappointing! If I had to pick out one thing I dislike about Blackwood Fish Bar, however, it would be the waiting area. Though spotlessly clean and dusted with the gorgeous scent of freshly fried cod, it’s simply just way too small, and on busier nights especially Fridays) leads to queuing out the door. Not good. Especially when it’s raining.
