This shop has exactly what you would expect, but I feel it is on the small side, when compared to Newcastle or Metro Centre. It is always really busy and the queues ar long. It could have done with a bigger site, this would have given us a bigger selection and maybe more tills, so less standing and waiting in a queue. I feel like the Sunderland branch has been overlooked.

A good selection of film and music, but aisles are too narrow and it hinders successful browsing when they are busy.

This HMV is really small compared to HMV stores in other cities. It can get really packed at busy times of the year especially Christmas. If you are standing browsing for a DVD you will constantly have to move to let others squeeze past you, or whilst you are trying to navigate around the store you are constantly waiting for people to move out of the way. This gets extremely annoying at Christmas when the queue ends up half way through the store! It does have a large selection of DVD’s, games, CD’s and even some books and MP3 players. I don’t enjoy shopping in here though as it gets way too crammed, and the prices are cheaper online anyway!

This is a good sized store and is one of my favourites if ever I need a DVD, CD or video game. They have many offers (they nearly always have some sort of offer on) such a buy one get one free, 3 for 2, etc.
Because it is such a popular store, the queues can be very long but staff are great and usually apologetic. Their prices are good too.

This is a large spacious store located in the centre of the bridges shopping centre. Loads of offers available on all current music and films. A valid NUS card gets a further 10% off in store and online. Really busy at this time of year but worth a visit as you can get something for everyone.

Sunderlands HMV store is located right in the centre of the bridges shopping centre. It is a big store and is always busy. The tills can get busy as the store is never very quiet. It is a reasonably priced store and always has special offers and deals on. Students get a further discount so dont forget to take you nus card with you. At the minute with the run up to christmas the store is chaotic. Great gift ideas and all of the latest dvds and music. Staff in the store are very helpful, and do anything to help you find what you want. Worth a visit there is something for everyone. Plenty of parking is available in the surrounding area, easy location to find.

Great prices on all there items i saved a forture buying my christmas presents here last year.
There is always plenty of staff in store to help you if you cant find something you are looking for.
They have a great range of computer games something for everyone.
This store is always clean and tidy but very busy i dont think i have ever seen it quiet. and be prepared to wait a while to be served.
This store is located in the Bridges Shopping Centre with plenty of parking.
It is worth checking there website cover christmas as they have some great cheap deal of the day offers.
Oh and dont forget your student card :-)

Staff are helpful although at xmas it’s chaotic! Good prices tho
