Good coffee and smiley friendly staff. Yes a bit expensive but no more than any other national coffee chain.

Nice location in the precinct but also looking over abingdon’s market square. The coffee is what you expect with costa. Standard coffee house coffee. There’s hardly any space to sit in on a rainy day as the space in the shop isn’t huge so don’t expect a table. But on a sunny day you may sit on the tables outside to enjoy the sunshine. Negatives include only one toilet and staff that can be sometimes rude or pushy when you’re making up your mind. Also they have before got my orders wrong. The queue can get quite long as well so be warned you may wish to try elsewhere if you’re in a hurry. Also as with all costa coffee, costa coffee: costs a lot. So prepare to part with your pounds. If however you dont like it in here there are plenty of other coffee shops in Abingdon(including coffee republic and coffee aroma) located less than a minutes walk away.

Costa coffee save me from having a bland english breakfast at my hotel. Food and coffee are hot and tasty!

My favourite coffee hang-out in Abingdon. Inside is a tad tight and on a busy day you will be lucky to get a seat. Serving is done in the usual small area and again during the busy times, the que can stretch through the door. I find the guys and girls serving the hot stuff friendly and efficient but there is quite a staff turn-over with the non-core staff and these guys can be a little slow during their initial training. Coffee wise, the roast is far superior to Coffee Republic across the square(as are the Paninis). Definitely worth popping in to watch the world pass-by, with a hot drink and a muffin.

I have to say, this is the worst Costa I have ever been to — the place was messy, tables were not clean and the staff were very moody and in one case, very rude. I had a cappucino and it tasted like asprin or quinine, it was so bitter. The froth was also«over frothed» !!. this is not the first time it has happened either, I have been on two other occasions and again I had the same experience with both staff, coffee and the state of the place. On positive side, there are other places to go to in Abingdon which offer better service and coffee, I would reccomend you give Costa a miss in this town.

I really do like this Costa coffee. The staff have always been friendly, they make a greay decaf latte and the place is always clean. This isn’t a tiny place but it also isn’t huge and I’ve had to wait a couple of times but it is well worth it for the nice coffee they do. The cookie and other snacks they do are lovely, as with everywhere in the chain. The staff here are worth switching from other coffee places for.

This is not bad coffee shop, in a good position right on the square in the centre of Abingdon. Inside is quite small, so it can be quite difficult to get a seat– especially in the winter when it is too cold to sit outside. the seating outside is welcome in the summer though– it is nice to be able to sit in the sun when it is out. It does have a good range of coffees and soft drinks, and has food such as panninis and muffins and croissants. I havent always found the service that freindly though, and I do think that there are better places in Abingdon to get a coffee.

I can’t comment on the quality of Costa’s coffee, since I don’t drink it. They do make a reasonable cup of tea though, and my husband says they make the nicest coffee of any of the big coffee chains. They also do hot chocolate, which is nice on a cold day. The Abingdon branch is a little on the small side, which means a big queue during busy periods. There’s not much seating indoors, either, although they have a reasonable amount outside. As Bluebell says, their charges are in the same region as the other coffee chains — a bit on the pricey side. I’ve never had one of their cakes/biscuits because they seem very expensive. There are better places for a snack, but if all you want is a hot drink then Costa is pretty good.

You can’t beat Costa Coffee, far better than Starbucks in my opinion. Just had their luscious frothy medium Cappuccino(huge — goodness knows what a «large» looks like, a bucket?!) Always very good, if expensive — not much change from a fiver for two cups(although, that’s the same in any other coffee shop). The staff at the Abingdon Costa are really friendly and efficient. Nice window seats and outdoor seating area in the ugly precinct for people watching — shame about the increasing number of nutters wandering about Abingdon, though.
