I saw The Kingfisher but wasn’t able to eat there a few months ago — but because everyone eating there appeared to be a local, I made a mental note to return. Today, I managed to find the place again, and I wasn’t disappointed. They served me a slab of haddock filet, with a crispy fried exterior and a meaty, juicy interior. The chips were hot and perfect. The other reviewer noted that they are«pricey,» but that’s because they aren’t serving fish sticks. An old-timer in the restaurant told me that The Kingfisher is «the best fish shop in town,» and I see no reason to doubt him.

Just a small fish ‘n chip shop with no frills(and no beer). Serves decent fish ‘n chip albeit pricey. Malt vinegar on the table was on the weak side. Service was very pleasant.
