On a cold, blustery overcast day, as I’m chiding myself again & again for my unfortunate weather-​packing abilities — out pops Marks & Spencer to save my frigid bones
Huge selection of wonderfully woolly scarves, mittens & hats saved this San Francisco girl from hypothermia — common knowledge that California ruins one for any acclimate weather & we become whiny babies at the slightest variance
Great selection of other cool, fun, flirty clothing — much like a H&M but even better… I could have filled an extra suitcase w/​the temptations I saw — but alas, parents were tapping their feet, waiting to get back on the tourist-​track
So thanks to Marks & Spencer, I was warm & fashionable for our Home Of Shakespeare tour & I can’t wait to go back & explore (extra suitcase in tow!)

This charming branch of M & S used to be the Red Lion Hotel and therefore has a lot of charm and character. The location is second to one but parking is a nightmare — it’s great fun to see so many people hovering for a space but i’m not sure its so great for traffice. Spread on 2 floors, the choice is not bad but you rsally have to plan food hall purchasesas certain wines abnd ready meals sell out in minute and are not replenished for days. the upstairs café is a welcome addition but it is a bit of a wasteland up there and the men’s department is like going back in time

A great supermarket, located right in the centre of town with everything that you need. Its not that big of a store but they’ve crammed in pretty much anything you could want. There’s an instore bakery cooking fresh bread and pastries such as croissants and Danishes. The sales assistants are only too eager to help. The store layout is easy to follow and its brightly lit which makes it feel very welcoming. I popped in whilst on a trip down there and bought some essentials plus breakfast and was very satisfied with the service and the cost.

A small but perfectly adequate branch of the very British M&S which makes perfect sense in this tourist town. The food hall is always well stocked, clean and busy. You may need to queue at peak times espically on sunny summers days but the produce purchased will always exceed expectation. The rest of the store stocks a basic range of all M&S traditional products such as kids, ladies and menwear. Friendly staff that will try and interpert if needed.

A good little Marks and Spencers, it sells most of what you could want though it is a bit small.
It has a good range of the Per Una collection, and a good selection of the other goods that you would expect from M&S, but it doesn’t stock everything (quite an understatement there). It is worth having a look online as well as going into the shop, as you may find what you are looking for there rather than in store.
The food hall is great, and the staff members are all really friendly.
