bit of a gastro pub, but doesnt have the plastic pub feel of some places. The décor plays on the rural setting it is in. Although it is a town pub, it is set off the main road down quite a long drive way, so is quiet, and a nice place to sit in the pub garden and forget you’re sat in a town setting. The pond is lovely, and having the odd dck wander around your feet makes is a nice unique experience. The food is generally good, and service on the bar is quick, if a little expensive. The childrens play area is good for parties, and being off the main road feels safer than some other venues.

Pub and food place. Set back from the main road so you can eat your meal in quiet. It’s right next to a farm shop so also has the scope to get yourself something nice from there on your way out! The food is fairly standard pub grub, and is an unfortunate change from how it used to be when the food had a slightly more unique edge to it. It’s always cooked satisfactorally but never seems to quite get past being ok. The pub quiz used to be the highlight of the week, but mainly because the quizmaster was always drunk so with him having left, there is now less to make the pub as distinguished entity in town.
