We use this place quite regularly and have never been disappointed by the quality of the food. I can personally recommend the steak and kidney pudding with chips, peas and gravy.

Whenever we visit Hot Steve’s family, we time it so that we can call in here on the way and pick up chips, puddin’ an’ peas for our lunch. I can’t remember how much it costs, but then Steve always pays as it’s his home turf and that’s the rules. There are two old ladies that seem to have worked there since the dawn of time and yet still can’t quite work the till properly.
Anyway, the pudding is steak with a smidgen of kidney (just how I like it — I’m not offally keen on kidney), the peas are piping hot and neon green, and the chips are the right sort of brown and soft. Not the bad sort.
Very, very tasty after a two hour drive from Leeds. And probably at any other time too.
