This is a good drinkers pub in the centre of town, serves loads of good ales and looks and feels like a proper traditional pub, something that seems to be disappearing these days, in the wake of sports bars, Wetherspoon’s etc. It’s full of old geezers and ghosts, yep, apparently it’s well haunted, although I have never seen anything in there! It’s one of those places that’s deceivingly large, doesn’t look big from the outside but seems to go back a long way inside. Staff are pretty friendly, and prices are the usual. Worth an effort, just for the ghost hunting!
