Not bad at all! Popped in here for lunch on a wednesday afternoon and found that the mains were all £4.00 each, or 2 for £9.00, but they were freshly made and absolutely delicious. Our party had the daily pie which was sausage and onion, fish and chips, and braising steak with mashed potato. We all enjoyed it and were really pleased at the price and quality, as well as the friendly yet casual service. The pub itself is mostly open plan, with at least two(maybe 3, I didn’t check!) roaring open fireplaces, and lots of old photos of the area through the years. Its décor and furnishings are traditional pub style.
