This is the best Indian we’ve had in Stockport so far. The ‘sundries’ were particularly good — very flavoursome onion bhaji and peshwari naan. As for the mains, we got the garlic chicken chilli massala and the Bengal Sil Silla. The latter was great, it was hotter than I expected and had a lovely rich flavour. The former was a lot milder and didn’t really taste of much. The special tandoori platter was nice although we were a bit full by that point — it was maybe a little drier than the excellent one I had at the Purple Pakora. If I hadn’t over-ordered by getting that, it would have been £10 a head which is good value for the amount of food. Delivery was a little slow and then the driver had problems finding the house so if you’re mega hungry go and collect!

Feel the need to update my review as I was too harsh in my first review. This is the best local restaurant in Stockport hands down. Food is delicious, quality is fantastic, but the staff here is what takes this place into a higher category. Most welcoming and a really decent atmosphere here.

Had our 1st visit last night and I was not disappointed we had the set meal for £9.95 each we had drinks bought to the table with the popadoms and dips, we each had the mixed starter which was lovely, I opted for the lamb rogan josh with rice wow it was gorgeous the meat was so tender and melted in the mouth the sauce was amazing I enjoyed every mouthful, my son had the chicken jalfrezi which was really nice im having that next time lol my husband had the chicken tikka masala which was a bit rich for me but he enjoyed it, we finished the meal with ice cream, the portiom sizes are good I have a good appetite and was starving and I left full and contented. The staff are really nice and helpful service was very efficient. A brill experience we will be returning soon. Thank you

I have to give a shout out to Last Monsoon in Stockport because to me it’s a shining example of just how good Bangladeshi cuisine can be. Alongside some more run-of-the-mill choices you’ll find exotic choices like Satkori Lamb(highly flavoured spices with shatkora fruit) and Bengal Sil-Sila(chicken or Lamb tikka medium strength cooked with spices garlic ginger cumin seeds andsweet pumpkin) and there’s even steak for those who don’t want spice. The venue itself is nothing to write home about, but it’s comfortable and modern enough and the staff are very helpful and friendly. With most dishes weighing in at around £5.95, this is quality at a price you can’t beat. Get yourself down there if you’re local(and even if you’re not).

This is a fantastic Bangladesh resturant. If you like spicy foods then this is certainly for you. The menu also offers dishes that are different from the norm. Good service and good atmosphere, very resonable prices too. Good for meals out with friends and special occasions as it is quit a large restaurant with plenty of tables.

Last Monsoon is wicked. I’m a regular. I wasn’t too hopeful in the beginning because the restaurant is housed in an old social club building and it doesn’t look to clever but get inside and it’s fine. It’s large with plenty of tables and a waiting area for those waiting for takeaways or other diners. The food is great, I can’t recommend it enough. It’s better than most on offer in Rusholme. The Deshi vegetables dish is great, as is the Nepali chicken if you like things hot. service is good, although some of the waiters are young and miss a trick by not offering you a drink and poppadums as soon as you sit down. In that respect they could learn from restaurants in Rusholme. The food is very reasonably priced and the quality is good.

Last Monsoon is said to be one of the most interesting restaurants in Stockport. I don’t go to Stockport often but this is one of the delights. Although it offers a massive variety of eastern cuisine it also offers some European dishes so it can cater for most. Although this is a stylish place that is aimed at the young professionals it can be ideal for quiet family dinners or celebrations. If you like Asian food then you will really like this place. Although I love this place I don’t really know what most of the dishes are, the chief staff advised that most of the dishes are unique to Bangladesh, they dishes are very succulent and full of very tempting spices. When I went here I ordered the Chicken Tikka, I know it’s a safe bet but I wanted to try something I knew I would love. My friend tried other dishes and I had to have a taste and I must admit everything was perfect. The staff and the restaurant itself were of a very high standard, I will definitely be going back here again
