Jasmine House does(English-style) Cantonese style and while I wouldn’t suggest you travel to it if you live nearby you could do far worse(seriously, some of the Chinese places in Stockport are awful). We were warmly greeted to the pleasantly old fashioned and cosy restaurant and ordered pretty extensively off the menu while we were brought some complimentary prawn crackers. We shared a dim sum/combo platter that did old favourites like prawn toast and spring rolls really well. The dim sum(shi mai and har gau) wasn’t bad either. Main courses were standard but tasted freshly cooked or at least piping hot. I didn’t have that mucky feeling afterwards that you sometimes get from cheap Chinese food. We were definitely on at least three stars then right at the end, along with some fortune cookies, we were given two complimentary glasses of Bailey’s. Both the boyf and I really appreciate a small business working hard to please their customers(me especially having been brought up in one) so we’re definitely fans now and this is likely to become our local for Chinese food.

Far and away our favourite Chinese restaurant. The owner and staff are so friendly, the food great, the prices ok and the atmosphere fantastic. No rushing you, you can sit back, relax and enjoy your evening. Highly recommended.

The best Chinese ever. The owner is so friendly, the food is spot on and if it’s not on the menu, ask. We go 2 – 3 times a month and enjoy it every time. You don’t get rushed, the staff are the best.

Absolutely top quality Chinese restaurant. Very cosy and friendly atmosphere. The owner is a gem! Wonderful food. If you value quality food then this is the place to go. They will even make you things that are not on the menu. Great place for a romantic dinner for two or a larger family celebration. They often have an early bird set menu which is great value. We usually end up having the larger set meals with 5 courses around £20 a head and spend a few hours in there. You can take as long as you like between courses and request bowls and chopsticks instead of plates and forks if that is to your liking.

This cosy chinese restaurant is situated opposite the grand central leisure complex in stockport just on the A6. It is easy to get to by road or bus and there is a car park at grand central across the road. I have been there once and the food was excellent. The prices arent the cheapest but the food is so good it’s worth it. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The decoration is chinese themed and gives you interestig things to look at around you and creates a good atmosphere. The place is quite small but I find it cosy.

The Jasmine House is a small but beautiful Chinese restaurant on the main A6(Wellington Road South) near Hillgate in Stockport. They serve traditional Chinese food and drinks, and have quite an extensive menu for such a small restaurant. The prices are a little expensive but well worth it for the quality of the food and service you receive. They offer a set menu for around £10 per person, and also do banquets for groups. The staff are very friendly and I would recommend it to everyone.

Great Chinese restaurant in Stockport. Cantonese & Peking cuisine, I believe. I’ve been here about three times, once with my parents who enjoyed also it. The food is of a very good quality and the menu is huge(and I’m not normally crazy about Chinese food). Not greasy or gloopy at all. Ther service is also very good, the owner and his wife are very freindly.
