It is in a quiet residential area, down a lane, with countryside on three sides. Originally a small cottage in a field, serving beer from jugs, it has been extended. A grade II listed building still retains some olde worlde charm. The food looks quite expensive for pub club but they appear to do some 2 for 1 meals. It is definately a food pub as whenever we have gone we are the only ones just having a drink. Beers, wines and coffees. On warm sunny days the beer garden is an ideal retreat with a pint I guess.

Went there on boxing day. Food was ok, nothing special. Service was awful. Took ages to take the order even after agreeing for table service at the beginning. Then food arrived at very random times and after a very long delay. Some of the group were served their main meal while others were finishing. No appology given even after issues were raised. Shame really as it was supposed to be a big happy family event. Wont be going back next year. Perhaps the staff had enough cash from santa not to want a tip on Boxing Day.
