This is another of the cheap/value clothes shops in Stevenage. A good alternative to Primark, and it tends to be much less busy, so a good place for people who don’t like crowds. It has it’s own car park, set apart slightly from the main Town Centre. The clothes are probably not the best quality, but they certainly offer value for money. They stock children’s clothes, men’s clothes and women’s clothes in a good variety of sizes and this particular branch is huge. It is kind of annoying that you have to have a matalan card in order to purchase anything — it makes no sense to me why they do that.

The clothes here are always cheap, but not always the greatest quality. You get what you pay for! Anyway Matalan is a convenient way to shop. There is always enough parking and even though there is suppose to be a cost for parking that you can reclaim, this is never in force whenever I have been there. You can find a bargin if you are prepared to search and for kids clothes it is usually pretty good, as they grow out of it before it falls apart.

Great clothing store for those of us on a budget. They sell some very trendy, fashionable cheap clothing for men, women and children. However they also sell clothing that is not so nice! Also sell toys and gifts and electricals. The only annoying thing is HAVING to sign up to their membership card before you can shop.

I shop here occasionally but I agree that the clothes are a bit hit and miss, not particularly good quality. The home stuff is a different matter. They have some really nice things, at the moment I have my eye on a really large wall clock, which is a steal at £15, and it looks good too.

I am not a great shopper. tend to do it online. Ok I have the girly thousands of shoes thing but that’s an illness! Anyway I had to wait to pick something up today and wandered in here. First looked at toiletries. Now they may cost a bit less that department stores but I had never heard of the brands so am I saving money? The shoes were fairly cheap and nasty and therefor overpriced. There were rails of clothes etc at £5, £10, £15.great I thought but they are so obviously catalogue returns or overmakes as they all seem to be tiny sizes. now I am 5ft 8 and woman shaped. Don’t think I will bother again. Back to shopping online :0))
