The Bull & Swan at Burghley

Lovely hotel in the centre of Stamford. The room we had was small but beautiful. Our breakfast was gorgeous and the staff could not of been more helpful. Perfect stay. Thank you.

A warm welcome greeted us when we arrived with real fires in the bar and board games to play too. Ben showed us to our room which was The Stag room, beautifully decorated with all mod cons, and a bathroom to die for… roll top bath and a massive waterfall shower.
We had dinner here too and we both loved the food, now a special mention to the soon to be World famous scotch eggs made by the very talented chef. They have to be tried, so scrumptious.
Christmas pudding ice cream, maple syrup ice cream too and the cheese board… everything was so tasty!
Hotels like this a real gem, every single member of staff were knowledgeable about the area, hotel and food they were also very polite and very friendly.
We will return very soon… now how about starting mail ordering scotch eggs?

Lovely pub, great food. An underrated place I think. Worth the walk up the hill!!!
