The Stone Jug is an all round modern style old fashioned pub.
Modern because it invites all ages to drink and sing and dance to live music of all types. It’s not indie and appeals across the board. Traditional because it serves real ales and has a real fire and warm welcome to boot. The landlord has enough street cred and savvy to know nice people want a nice place and keeps it so. The mix of a ‘rock n roll’ freedom is perfectly balanced against a civil surroundings for girls to feel comfortable, couples to chill and lads to laugh … A gem in a past boom town of nightclubs and bars past their sell by date.
