Really like coming and having afternoon drinks here.
It’s a 13c inn with all the harm and character you’d expect from something this old. Lovely old beams low ceilings. Great choice of beers some local and all usual international ones. Good selection if food served all day from breakfast to lunch then on to evening meals. They also do accommodation either rooms or you can have one of the many quirky cottages, great prices too some with breakfast others just room only rate. Would recommend the central location to everyone that visits the area. If you want to get away for the hustle of the sea front they have an upper deck bar behind.

The Sloop is a large pub situated right on the bay in St Ives. A great place to sit and people watch while listening to the sea lap the shoreline.
On the two occasions that I visited, I didn’t actually set foot inside but I believe it’s a large pub. There is a lot of outside seating, with areas out the front and back as well as a roof terrace.
I didn’t eat here but the food looked typically pubby. They do a great pint of Doombar — the perfect end to a long day’s walk!
