What a great place! Great food, weekly specials, and a big selection of gins. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. I will always return to the firehouse whilst in St. Ives.

Modern, casual restaurant and bar right in the centre of St. Ives. Great food ranging from slow cooked pork belly, duck salad, mussels, crab, cornish sardines and pizzas. I particularly like the fish and seafood dishes and have sampled the starters of grilled cornish sardines with salsa verde as well as chilli squid with lime and coriander mayo. A main course of cornish crab linguine with chilli, garlic and ginger was simply good with generous lumps of white crab meat. On a previous visit I enjoyed roasted sea bass fillets on crayfish and rocket risotto which was also great. Dessert of sticky toffee pudding with clotted cream was excellent and sinful. Service is excellent and friendly and there are great views of the bay through the restaurant windows. Downstairs is the bar area. Great value too.

Went for lunch here a couple of weeks ago for lunch and they had a £5 lunch menu. On arrival of our food i was pleasantly surprised by the portions and quality of the food.

Just had a fabulous meal here. The quality of the food exceeded my expectations by a clear mile. I had mussels in garlic and onion followed by steak. My girl ordered the lamb from the specials board. At first glance you might think this is just another steak pub. However, the chef has created some delicious flavours from what may at first appear to be a menu of the usual fare. We both enjoyed our meals and would recommend this place to our friends.
