A traditional looking pub with a traditional Cornish Welcome. Friendly Staff and great food. Well worth having lunch or dinner here.

A lovely and very friendly pub. If you have a dog, it will be allowed in night and day. It’s slightly immersed in the old style décor, but they serve food, nice drinks and the locals are chatty and nice. If you do not like this pub, try visiting a Middlesbrough town centre pub to correct your judgement.

This pub certainly has potential. I think I may just have been unlucky during my visitas I was one of only two customers in the pub in the early evening. I like a quiet drink, but there is such a thing as too quiet
The music and the décor were really good though. Hits of the 60sand the pub looks like it belongs in a bygone era (and I mean that only in the positive), particularly in the front section. They serve a couple of real ales. Doom Bar and Sharp’s own were available on my visit. They serve the worst 3 lagers known to man thoughwell pretty much.
I could use my usual Stella decider to round the score down to 3, to solve my indecision, but really I can’t give 4 to such an empty pub anyway. I will have to go back on a weekend or later in the evening to get more of an impression.
