A somewhat legendary takeaway on Duke Street, situated in a prime position to tackle those late night munchies! Hygiene standards seemed better than your average kebab shop, skewered meats on display in counter adds a nice touch! All meats cooked on open coal barbecue, however this is reflected by the 20 minute wait! Staff were pleasant enough, happy to recommend best sellers. Food wise, a large chicken kebab at £6 is not a bad price. — Generous amount of chicken served on chapatti with salad and sauce. Chicken was tender and juicy with an authentic char grilled taste! On the whole, not a bad choice of takeaway, it’s fair to say Geno’s is one of the better kebab shops in St Helens!

Like a Kebab from Geno’s … If anyone reading this is a Saint Helens fan then you will know how it goes ! A Legend on Duke St a small little take away you assume to be like all over take always if you didn’t know where you were but this one has a certain Aura to it. Probably from the song. But but but, I cannot say it was actually the best I’ve ever had! For a Friday night about 11pm the wait was about 20 minutes for a chicken kebab! So not only was I cold and getting increasing hungry I found the staff to be a bit brash. Being spoken to in that manner was well I would find it a bit stand off ish. Onto the food, a large chicken kebab was £6 not too bad. Roti /chapatti it was on was very nice and the chicken was quite good and a little juicy ! But it was so overloaded with cabbage that it was like a cabbage sandwich so after spending 2 minutes scraping it into the bin I had an acceptable kebab . Would only return if no where was open nearby that was new to try ! Scored 3 stars due to quality of chicken !
