Lovely little museum chronicling the history of the historic town of St. Albans. The lower level is dedicated to exhibition space, and right now they’re featuring a steampunk-​themed exhibit with lots of crazy Victorian inventions such as a singing bird automaton that would sing a song for 30 seconds if you inserted a penny. Really fun exhibit with bizarre 19th century gadgets alongside some new steampunk items and a video about steampunk art, theater, music and fashion. Loved it!

This museum is based in the centre of St Albans and is a really entertaining trip. They give children a task sheet as they go around which helps them to learn.
They have lots of different things to see and do and its free for residents. A great day out!
