Amazing. Best in St Albans and since I’ve now moved away I miss it dearly. Loved collecting my food and watching the chefs cook right there in the shop front — no mystery(dirty?) kitchen in the back at this establishment. Highly recommend the prawn toast, satay chicken(main), shredded chili beef and Singapore noodles(although I liked them with extra chili and curry powder for a kick).

Food is good I have had better though it has always been quick for me and I think some chinese takeways are massively overpriced, though this one I think is really cheap and food is decent enough, I always go there when i want a chinese and have not had a bad dish yet.

Excellent food, I have had far too many takeaways from here! They have always been tasty, good portions. I’m veggie and their bean curd/tofu is always fantastic. Would definitely recommend!

Tasty but food was cold when delivered. Considering that I live 5 minutes drive away from take away, this is very poor service indeed. Would have posted 4 stars otherwise.

Love this place, never fails to please my appetite! Portions are good sizes, tastes great, can pick up in 10 – 15 mins or have delivered. Nice and clean area to sit and wait and read a newspaper or magazine! One of the best in St Albans.

Good Evening, Chinese Expreeeess! I love to hear that at the other end of the phone. It’s on the other side of St Albans from me but they deliver and the Chinese at the end of my road is just plain yucky. The food is as good as I’ve ever had from a chinese takeaway, I particularly like the prawn toast which is the best I’ve had. The seaweed is great and I like the crispy duck too. The delivery service is good and doesn;t take an hour like other I could mention. I can definitely recommend trying Chinese Express before you waste your time hunting around elsewhere.

Make no mistake-this is beyond doubt the best chinese take away food in St. Albans. You can try the rest(I have) but no where comes near to their hospitality, professionalism, and most important of all, the quality of their food. If I had to say something bad about chinese express, they give you too much-something that makes me go back. This is not lip service-compare it to your local and see the difference. You wont regret it. Still going to lantern house or Cheongs on vesta ave. Don’t bother. Travel up to chinese express. Even their fortune cookies are good(Weird and creepy, but funny!)
