There are many fish and chips restaurants and takeaways in the area but we will always go to The Frying Pan as their food is delicious.
What sets them apart from the other takeaways is that their food is not dripping in oil so the fish and chips are tasty (and don’t stick to the paper when you get home which is always a plus).

Fantastic fish and chips :-)
We had The Frying Pan deliver for our daughter’s 21^st and son’s 18^th joint Birthday Party at The Kursaal. The service and food for 80+ people could not be faulted.
Every visit to Southend now we try and fit Fish and Chips at the Frying Pan in and we are NEVER disappointed !
The batter is so light (i never usually eat most of the batter from other shops as it is far too heavy and greasy) and the chips have a really delicious flavour — which must be down to the oil they use.
We would never use another Fish and Chip shop in Southend it’s well worth avoiding the ones on the front and heading inland to the Frying pan… just wish we lived nearer!!!

this is the trendiest chip shop in southend — look at the menu board in the evenings it changes colour!
fantastic fish and chips deeeeeelicious!!! eat it in the restaurant area and your batter will be crisp and yummy, the fish succulent and the chips golden and crisp on the outside and fluffy in the middle. If you try here you’ll never go anywhere else again for your fish and chips i promise.
