The Standing Order

Un restaurante inglés de los de toda la vida (no es que tenga yo mucha cultura inglesa, pero vamos, que es lo que es). El Standing Order es un restaurante amplísimo, con mesas grandes donde sentarte tranquilamente a lo que más te apetezca, tanto a tomarte una pinta como a comerte un buen plato de comida.
En mi caso, fuimos un grupo de 6 personas. Yo me pedí un plato de bacalao con patatas y guisantes. Super rico, he de decir que es uno de los mejores fish and chips que he probado. De bebida, una pinta de sidra. Tienen una amplia carta, tanto de comida como de bebida, y lo más importante, una amplia selección de cervezas y sidras de tirador.
El precio es bastante barato para ser Inglaterra. Una pinta no cuesta más de 2,50 Libras. El servicio es normal también, con el inconveniente de que tienes que levantarte e ir a la barra para pedir. Con nosotros fueron bastante rápidos.
Dentro tiene un patio que tiene buena pinta, pero no parece que le saquen todo el partido que se podría.
En general, una buena opción donde comer algo decente por un buen precio.

Sticky menus were a turnoff my first visit. Great for a couple casual drinks and a hangover breakfast. Decent fish an chips. No stars for service. Wish the patio were a bit nicer for summer. Just another wetherspoons!

The best value pub for food and drink in the city. Steak night and curry night are excellent value. This pub is always fairly busy. The interior is in need of a revamp, but well worth a visit.

Always try a spoons steak night and last night was quality!!! Will return.

Beer well kept. Usually 4 cask beers as per most Wetherspoon (s). V nice Ringwood on draught when I went. But … it’s like a Yates from the 80s — feel the need to watch your back — & that many of the clientele have ASBOs
Huge place — has kegs racked near window from 2m ago which is baffling.

One of Southamptons four Wetherspoons pubs, definitely the biggest one! Situated down towards the bottom of the High Street its a huge venue with lots of standing and seating space.
Frequented by the same people that go in all Wetherspoons these days this is no different, and the atmosphere isn’t that welcoming earlier in the day, in the evening its much better.
Great food deals and a good selection of standard guest ales at this Spoons, I didn’t notice anything that exciting!
You can’t beat Beer and a Burger for £4 and they have pints all day for 99p! Heartily recommend the gourmet burgers as well only £6 including a drink!
