Anthem of the Seas is Royal Caribbean’s newest ship. I went on it for a 3 night cruise to Bruges and Paris. The ship was just out of this world unlike any other RC ship that I have been on. When I first went on to the ship and walked up towards Jamies Italian restaurant that is on board I was just blown away so much in fact I started to cry as I was overwhelmed by its beauty. The Anthem of the Seas is a great ship if you love medium sized ships, music, expensive designer shops, food and sport. The décor around the ship was just amazing especially the art and interactive art around the ship for example there was a piece of art that involved lights and placing your hands on these electronic pads that pick up your heartbeat and the lights will flicker according to your heartbeat/pulse and make a noise. Me and my husband both put a hand on each and it went crazy and made fast drum noises so funny. Also whilst on board we was lucky enough to see Brian May he was watching We Will Rock You and rocking and clapping along to it. After the show finished he went up on stage and thanked all the production for a wonderful job of their performance. He was then ushered off behind stage but we got lucky and met his wife Anita Dobson(Angie from Eastenders) and then after we managed to meet Brian luckily as we was on the only people to get to meet him after I think. I have listed some of the wonderful things you can expect when you go on the amazing Anthem Some of the entertainment on board: Flowrider — for surfers Ripcord iFly — if you want to fly Xbox play area Dodgems Rock Climbing Wall Trapeze Football and Football tables Ping Pong tables Snooker tables Escape Room — Locked in a room for 60 minutes escape room by completing puzzles Casino — if you want to play BlackJack, Roulette, Poker, Fruit Machines etc Some of the shows on board: Two70 — Spectra Cabaret Theatre — Queen We Will Rock You show Various bands playing music Piano man — he goes around the ship and plays funny songs on his piano he could even turn up in a lift Interactive art Some of the restaurants/pubs on board: Wonderland — food styled like how Heston would do his food Jamie Olivers Italian restaurant Johnny Rockets Bionic Bar — Drinks served up by robots If you have never been on a cruise before I would highly recommend the Anthem of the Seas. You don’t really feel the sea at all as the ship is so big. If you cant afford or don’t want a balcony cabin the inside cabins now have virtual balcony screens inside the staterooms which you can turn on and off even have sound on or off. So this way you will feel less cramped and confined in an inside cabin. Also on a cruise you can eat 24 hours practically if you really wanted. Drinks are an extra cost but you can buy drinks packages and sometimes get a special deal when booking a holiday when the drinks packages will be included in price. So if anyone does go on the Anthem then have a wonderful time as me and my husband sure did but then again we love cruises and have been on many RC cruises in the past but I must admit this was one of the best we have been on next to Oasis of the Seas which is a amazing ship as well and a lot bigger. If you have any questions re the Anthem or cruising then please feel free to send me a message with your questions.
