I had lunch at the Duke of Wellington in Southampton, England on 7÷21÷2015(21 July 2015). It was my 1st time there. Located on Bugle Street, it is a typical English pub(which is a good thing). I had their fish & chips and a Coke. The bill came to GBP12.40. Rob(the bartender) was very helpful. Plus, I took photos.

We stopped in while I was visiting a friend. It was exactly what I wanted to see. My buddy might be a regular, and we were not discriminated against for being American(but then, we’re not A-hole Americans). Tip: if your not English, remember you’re an f***ing guest in their country. .. be cool and eat & drink what you’re served; you’ll like it!

OK these guys were cold to me and generally not said a welcoming word to me at all when I came in. I expect it though as most UK peeps don’t like people from California. I cant expect them to warm up to me, I represent a million shitty KFC and McDonalds America has blanketed the worlds most beautiful places with. I would be pissed at Americans too! That being said this place is really cool. Its got a bunch of tappers and some good choices of beer. Very tasty beer! The dining room is really old school looking. The outside is really cool looking too, its like I walked into a 15th century pub! Was a good experience despite being treated as Americans get treated in the world. We deserve it! hahaha
