Cafe Parfait

We were visiting from the U.S. We tried to go to the bar with some friends in a rock band that had just performed at O2 Guildhall. My husband was refused admittance because he was wearing trainers. There were about 20 of us so they lost a lot of business that night.

great music, great vibe, good for students, bit small but has an upstairs and a chocolate fountain! what more could you want!

A pretentious little place that hasnt long opened, the main problem with it is actually trying to get in!
Unless you go out armed with a driving licence or passport you wont even make it past the door, even if you are in your 30‘s, for some strange reason ID is required by anyone under the age of 35!
There are far better places to go in Southampton and i cant see this one lasting long!

This is a really great new venue for Southampton. Saturday night at Café Parfait is like anything else you will ever experience. DJs, live music, showgirls (in a classy way!), acrobats. A night out at Café Parfait is SO much more than a night out!
The décor transported me straight to a Parisian dancehall, with plush red velvet high backed sofas, and opulently designed tables and chairs. And if your really lucky you might see a showgirl performing on a giant swing above the bar area.
The bar staff are really friendly and knowledgeable about what they are serving which is always a bonus!
All in all you are guaranteed a really fun, and definitely different night out at Café Parfait. If your finding yourself bored with the usual bars and clubs you visit, then this is well worth a visit!
