This pub is one of my favourite places to eat when shopping in Southampton city centre.
The food is very reasonably priced — starts at about £3 and is served quickly.
It’s not the highest quality but it’s good value and perfect for a quick refuel before hitting the shops again.
I can recommend the Jack Daniels chicken wings which were fab the last time I was there.
In the evenings Bar risa is the warm up bar for Jongleurs above.

Bar Risa is a chain pub near the Bargate with Jongleurs upstairs from it.
Pretty quiet most the time I go in there, during the day and evenings, its nice to relax in, and you never really have any trouble getting seats.
If you decifer the drinks lists, some beers are impressively cheap with others sillyly expensive so worth looking.
They have events fo most nights of the week, but half the time they just don’t tend to happen.
It can get busier just before Jongleurs opens when people arrive and get a drink before going upstairs.
