CJW Watch and Phone Repairs

The review is for the watch and phone repair kiosk upstairs in the Connie, outside Iceland and Halifax.
I have been coming here for years for watch battery replacement, £4 a time. I totally love this business! It is always the same guy inside the kiosk, perched on his stool, friendly and competent. The queue is never more than two people deep, and this guy is fast. So you are done and dusted in the time it would take you to walk all the way into H Samuel!
Once, I had needed a link removed from a watch strap — again, no problem. And then there was the time I bought a phone from phones4u. The sim in my old phone needed cut down to microsim to fit the new phone. Rather than do it himself, the salesman excused himself and had his mate in the kiosk do it for him — it seems they had an ongoing arrangement. But what comes around goes around, and when I couldn’t find a suitable phone case in phones4u or elsewhere, the salesman took me back to the kiosk who had just what was needed.
phones4u is no more, but the kiosk shines on as locally-​owned light in the faceless corporate darkness of the Connie. Support this locally-​owned business!
