The Gandhi Restaurant

I come on holiday a lot to Skegness and usually get a take away Indian but thought we would go to a restaurant instead this time. What a mistake to make! This place is terrible! The food is bland, and resembles something you could buy a Tesco. Couldn’t believe i had just spent close to 80 pounds on the meal and it was bordering on discusting. My daughter only ate her starters and the rest of the family were terribly dissapointed. Stick to the take aways in skegness, I can promise, for people who are used to a proper curry, this place isnt going to satisfy your cravings.

Thoroughly enjoyed a meal here last week on a weekend away from Somerset in Skegness. It looked very welcoming from outside and we weren’t disappointed. The service was excellent and the waiters were very helpful.
The perrier water came in a very small glass and I felt it was over priced. I expected a bottle. The food was good. I enjoyed my prawn tandoori dish. It could have been a little spicier but that was probably my choice.

We have never had a bad meal here. The atmosphere is always good and the staff are friendly. The food is delicious.

Great place to eat in Skegness! Very classy atmosphere and my family and I loved the food. I went with my wife and children and we were impressed with the service and the large delicious portions. We ordered Tandoori King Prawns, Chicken Shashlic, and Achar Lamb — recommended by the staff. I’m getting hungry thinking about it. Loved it so much I went again two weeks later with friends from work. If you want good Indian food and a great atmosphere — this is the place. However, it’s a shame they don’t do delivery but that’s okay. Worth the journey.

Elegant atmosphere, exceptional service and delicious indian food. Excellent place to enjoy a good indian meal. Brilliant service and the food is finger licking good. I love the achar chicken and the keema nans. I’ve been to most of the indian restaurants and take aways in Skegness. This one has to be the best. The Gandhi has a great reputation locally and I recommend you try it!

Do not go to this place! The curry was one of the worst curries I’ve ever had. After spending all day looking forward to going for a good old curry after a few pints we chose this place over two other curry houses and regretted it straight away. I ordered the Sheema Kebab for my starter and when it arrived it looked and tasted like an old greasy burger with cheese or something mixed in, urggh! The pickle tray was also very average and I noticed they were all kept under the menus at the front of the restaurant in a cupboard already served up so they weren’t fresh. The two mains we had were extremely bland in taste and we couldn’t tell them apart other than the difference in colour of the sauce. The chicken was also watery and flavourless, they both lacked any spice or flavour. Very disappointing!

If you are looking for a lackluster, bland curry try this place. The starters were poor, we ordered what could only be described as a dirty deep fried burger with cheese in it and a tasteless kebab. we had two different curries and apart from the colour we couldn’t tell them apart, the meat was flavourless and the sauce was watery and flavourless. i dont go for the really hot curries, normally something medium strength like a rogan josh or a bhuna, but these curies definiteley needed more spice. very poor, would not reccomend it to anyone. ever.
