The Light Railway is one of the nicest attractions in Sittingbourne. Yes it is a bit tired, but they are struggling to stay open and should be given support.
Kids will love being able to ride, and smell, a real steam train and the small ticket office and small, thick cardboard tickets add authenticity.
The route goes out to a visitors centre on the estury which is fairly pleasant in the Summer. There are often events/​fairs/​music festivals at the visitor centre.
Well worth a visit for all ages.
Go and support your local railway.

I can remember going on this when I was a kid, it was good fun and felt like going for a ride on Thomas the tank engine.
If your kids like thomas the tank engine and you want to take them for a cheap trip on a steam train then this is for you, its nothing special and quite a short trip but still fun if you’ve not been on a steam train before.
