This is a nice country style pub that serves basic home cooked food. It isn’t a gastropub (the typical meal is X and chips) and the beer selection tends to be limited to lagers but there’s always an interesting guest ale on pump. Check this place out. It’s worth the effort.

A friendly and down to earth pub serving a delicious and varied menu at reasonable cost. To be fair the furniture is dated but clean and tidy. This lovely bar is popular with the locals and makes an effort to make families and smokers alike welcome and comfortable. I visited on a bank holiday Sunday afternoon and found a friendly atmosphere with efficient and approachable staff.
