Found on the lower level of the Darwin Shopping Centre is a QVC channel outlet store. At first glance it is an unorganised mess, then you realise it is an unorganised mess! If you are a true bargain hunter and you don’t mind spending hours on end searching through rubbish then this is the palace for you. Personally I don’t mind paying that little bit extra to be able to walk in somewhere find what I want then leave!

The QVC shop does require a certain knack to getting anything out of it. You will need to have a huge rummage, things are often dumped on shelves or in brown boxes which gives the effect that store may be going out of business, but rest assured that is not the case. It sells anything that has been overstocked or hasn’t sold on the QVC shopping channel and I know some people have good wonderful bargains out of there althoguh it is possible to get things cheaper elsewhere so is best if you know what prices you can get elsewhere.

The QVC store is based on the lower level of the Charles Darwin Shopping centre, unless you know where the shop is you could easily miss it. The store sells the returns and over stocks from the popular QVC shopping channel. It could almost be described as a santas grotto as you dont always know what your going to get. The prices are excellent, the quality is the same as you would be purchaseing from the QVC channel. If the item in store is a particulr bargain then the store does limit the item to a maximum of 3 per person. t

The QVC outlet store is, I believe, one of only two in the UK with the other being in Warrington. When I recently visited my parents for my birthday, a trip to the QVC was top of my list of places to go whilst in town. I’ll admit, QVC sells plenty of tripe and gadgets you really don’t need but there are also some hidden gems including Butler Wilson clothes and handbags and plenty of clothes and shoes at bargain prices. I picked up a £50 pair of shoes for £12 and some odds and sods of clothing for a few pounds each. You do need to search hard for the bargains but there are plenty to be found! Definitely a recommended store if you appreciate bargains and you get to avoid the usual QVC sales pitch by buying in store.

I love this store for discount stuff. It is a bit of a rummage and there is a lot of uninteresting stuff but there are also some real bargains to be found here with ends of line etc. You really need to know your prices though because some things are already cheaper else where but others are very cheap here. It takes a long time to get the most out of this shop because sometimes all you see is brown boxes and you need to look into them and get the things out to see what they are selling — lots of people can’t be bothered to do that so you often get best bargains that way.
