A quirky little sweet«shop» on the main road. Think of any sweet that you can’t buy in a normal shop anymore and she will probably have it You get proper measures too

This is a funny little sweet shop in Baildon village, opposite the fish & chip shop. It is run by a grouchy woman, who seems to have an amazing knack of making you feel like a tremendous inconveinence everytime you go in. But somehow she seems warm underneath the cool exterior. I think she spends her days waiting for under 16 year olds to go in and ask for cigarettes, just so she can say no to them :) The shop used to be a mobile wooden cart, judging by the wheels just visible in the pavement at it’s base. How it came to find it’s permanent resting place there, I can’t tell you I’d love to know though. They sell every type of sweet you could want, in big jars As you walk in every wall is stacked high floor to ceiling with jars full of sugary wonderment. They will sell you canned drinks, a small selection of icecreams and cigarettes too, if they like the cut of your jib that is! In the summer you can swoop by here to pick up an icecream on your way up to the moor, which is a nice thing to do.
