This exciting initiative is a favourite of mine. I’m regularly recommending folk to visit it. The whole atmosphere is intriguing and must be an Aladin’s Cave type experience for youngsters. The variety of toys and equipment is excellent and the discovery design of the whole store is one that encourages you to explore further. I wonder what is round the next corner is constantly in ones mind. It is bright, cheerful, friendly and just a wonderful experience. The range of toys etc is quite comprehensive too and the staff very friendly and interactive with customers. Do recommend you give it a visit. Global Nomad

In the farmyard of a working dairy farm, the ‘Toy Barn’ in the old stables sells good quality children’s toys, mainly of the educational, wooden sort; wooden tricycles, train sets and dolls’ houses, beautiful puppets, gardening kits, etc. There is also an orchard full of climbing frames and trampolines to try out; very popular in Sherborne where there is no softplay place. No-one seems to mind an hour’s bouncing followed by only spending £1 on a packet of crayons. There are also chickens to feed and eggs to buy and you can pick up windfall apples in the orchard in the autumn.
