Shepton Mallet Swimming Pool

I am only willing to give the pool 3 stars although it may be worthy of more the constant closures has made me reduce my rating.
I have lived in shepton mallet several years now and the swimming pool seems to be one of the best kept secrets I had lived here for 3 years before someone mentioned it and I was completly confused being unaware that it exsisted.
The last few years have been a complete disaster for Shepton Mallet outdoor pool. The first year a discovered the pool I went there for a swim found it very reasonable priced the changing rooms were very cold and basic but overall they were find for a quick change. The pool itself was very simple a deep end a shallow end and some steps to enter. The pool is only open over the summer months and is completly outdoor no roof at all. The pool was a bit cold when i got in but fine once I had got used to it. I decided to make swimming there a regular event the following week I turned up same time same day and found the pool closed. The pool remained closed for several weeks (rumor has it that someone had jumped in wearing swim short and had then admitted to the lifegaurd that they had a large amount of drugs in his pocket and they were no longer there hense the pool had to be closed and drained!)
The following year I popped to the pool during the summer months for find it closed for a refub! oh well these thing have to be done.
the following summer i went to the new and improved pool several times the changing rooms had not changed but the pool had been retitled, a baby pool developed, water sqiuters etc had been added along with a grasses are with picnic tables etc. I was very impressed with this and the pool looked fantastic! I attended the pool every week with my daughter and er loved it the pool was much warmer as they had made solar heaters with the factory next door.
This summer I went again in the summer months to discover (suprise) it was closed. I later read in the paper that the tiles have come off the bottem and side of the poll and they whole thing needed to be drained dried and re tiled! I am giving up hope on this lovely simple outdoor pool! I wonder when the money will run out and it is closed forever as the pool is only open in the summer and every year it seems to be closed in the summer
