I love this place! On a Saturday lunchtime it was heaving, though thankfully we were able to be seated straight away. Next to a blazing hot radiator. It was a fairly pleasant day in early September so I’m not convinced having the heating on full blast was totally necessary, and my sister kept accidentally catching her arm on it. That’s not much of a complaint though, just an odd observation. I love the look and feel of the place, especially the drawings on the far wall. I mentioned to my sister that I thought it was affiliated with Federal in Manchester. She asked one of the staff who told her they’re totally independent of each other but that the owner of Tamper helped the guys from Federal set up. This really shows in the décor, atmosphere and menu of both places. We each ordered a flat white. When they arrived they were lovely to look at, and delicious too. My sister ordered the Big Ozzie breakfast, and I ordered the smashed avocado on sourdough with poached eggs and halloumi. My dish was really beautifully presented. It came with a sweet chilli cucumber salsa, which is not necessarily something I would have chosen to go with the dish, but worked really well. My sister really enjoyed her breakfast as well. I tried a bit of the sausage patty and the hash brown and they were both delicious, really nicely seasoned. We didn’t have any cake as we were fit to burst but there was a huge selection and everything looked lovely. I would definitely return and would recommend.

Wonderful range of coffee beans and blends. I had the split shot which was a great idea. Would heartily recommend and will be going back!

Amazing coffee, good breakfasts. Busy restaurant/café, but we didn’t feel rushed. Came with a friend and her 8 yr old child and we all left happy.

Best almond milk latte I’ve had. And I live in London. Lovely staff. Great food. Good options for vegetarians

An amazing little place in Sheffield(well 2 places) for coffee and from New Zealand they do the best flat whites anywhere, taste amazing. We have also visited for brunch which again was good and they have little snack bars on the counter from NZ which are always fun, like banana chocolate.

Really enjoyed my Mocha and the food was really tasty. The décor has a rustic outdoorsy charm, the staff were very nice and friendly. I would Def go back again.

Beautiful old building near Hallam Uni. I’ve been to the Westfield terrace one a few times. This is bigger and more about lunch. Good range of blends. La Marzocco machine is beautiful. Usual aeropress etc. Barista here also works at the sister branch and does a superb latte. Predictably he is bald with a big hipster beard. Always a good sign. Spot on prices.

One of the best if not THE best coffee house in Sheffield. The latte’s are to die for. So good that one wasn’t enough. Aromatic, smooth and full flavoured, can’t wait to try more from the menu.

I have tried to get into Tamper Coffee a few times but there is often a wait for a table on a Sunday lunchtime. Clearly a good sign — this place is popular. I finally managed to get a table when I headed here with my two cousins to grab an afternoon coffee. We were shown to a table by a very friendly server and our orders were promptly taken. We all went for the affogato — a nice compromise between a coffee and a dessert. The coffee is REALLYGOOD. Imported from New Zealand, these are top quality beans and have been handled with care and knowledge. They sell the ground coffee and beans so you can make delicious coffee at home as well. As a group of Aussies, we couldn’t help but notice that the Hot Milo on the drinks menu is claimed as a «New Zealand drink». Definitely not the case, but New Zealanders are always trying to claim great Australian inventions as their own. Can you blame them? I really want to go back and try some of their food. We watched plates leave the kitchen and the breakfast options look fantastic. Definitely coming back for more.
