Great ambiance — a proper kind of Italian restaurant. If you only want a coffee or a glass of wine you are as welcome as if you want a three course meal but the smells coming from the kitchen make you want to eat. Italians work here and Italians eat here. The maitre d’ will tease you if you like and flirt a bit too — and I do like. The food we ate here was excellent — chicken liver salad, rich in flavour and a pear, prosciutto & gorgonzola salad. We are not naturally the sort of people who eat salads in Italian restaurants — perhaps we are wrong. The espresso is excellent, the ambiance friendly and next time I will eat pasta. Maybe Lasagna al forno — mmmm…

Can’t believe no-​one has written a review for this place! It’s a restaurant as well, but only the Deli seems to have been listed.
I can’t recommend this restaurant enough-​I live in Manchester and visit Sheffield at least twice a year specifically so I can revisit Nonna’s. The menu is always seasonal and excellently prepared and the waiting staff are total professionals who are led superbly by the manager.
Have a drink in the adjoining bar before hand and indulge yourself with some authentic Italian cooking.
