If I was male and/or of the sporting persuasion I would bloody love it here. Screens EVERYWHERE. Even on your table top. ON the table. The boyf, brother, and I went here to meet the boyf’s brother for a quick drink and the conversation was quickly on all variations of sport; rugby was on initially, followed by a spot of football and sport headlines, then the F1 took over. As I am not personally inclined to follow sport, other than when suitably hungover or paying the boyf back for making him watch Don’t Tell the Bride, I took in my surroundings minus the screens. Bar staff? Friendly, efficient, offering a top up to the ale drinkers if the head was too big. Other Champ-ers? Predominantly men, dotted with the odd couple, but even a few family’s enjoying their Saturday afternoon together, seemingly undistracted by the never ending sport(though I’m sure the men had seated themselves appropriately). Non-animated surroundings? Photos of sports people, predominantly Sheffield born around our table, and astroturf outside for sunny days. Actually quite a good spot for a relaxed drink but somewhere I would avoid on proper sports days or any attempt at a sedated evening.

Champs has transformed from a greasy burger bar into a popular drinks and snacks venue. It is filled with TVs to show the latest match and new games happening everywhere between Dubai and Brazil, and as such, is always a favourite of sports fans and boffs throughout Sheffield. You will see it packed to burst every thursday, friday and saturday night with students all taking advantage of great drinks offers.

A bit trendy and full of wannabe WAGs for my liking but a good place to watch football nevertheless. Crowded most nights, probably the busiest pub on Ecclesall Road.

The bar is great for watching live sports on, the prices are fairly reasonable, the food in the restaurant is really nice. although its only basic american diner type food. but still, a top bar.

I used to really enjoy the sports bar, slightly unique atmosphere of this cocktail bar but with the recent referb the soul seems to have gone out of the place. The bar used to have a famous tower of alcohol bottles in the middle, from which the bar staff mixed an extensive range of cocktails. The new list of cocktails is much shorter, and the fabulous Happy Hour seems to have disappeared! However, this said, I had one of the best drinks of my life in there the other night for a meer £2! Granted it was non-alcoholic, but the Apple Mojito is a real treat, and it was mixed with much care and attention. I’d still give this place another chance.

This is a great place for sports fans, there’s lots of sprots memorabillia all over the place, signed photos, signed football shirts even part of an F1 car! They serve the amazing Champs burgers which are very hearty, and other American style foods. The bar area is good and they have an extensive range of cocktails which bar tenders who like to show their juggling skills which making them. The staff are friendly and service is good. Its the place to go to watch the major sporting events as they have plenty of big screens.

Very nice bar with a good choice of unusual alcohol. Food is quite expensive but very nice and staff are friendly.
